About
I’m Sakina Ahmad, a Washington, DC–based creative director and curator working across exhibitions, public programs, and content-driven projects. My work focuses on how ideas are experienced, and how stories move between physical space and public life.

I currently serve as the Operations and Exhibitions Coordinator at Hamiltonian Artists, where I work closely with artists and fellows to shape exhibitions, programs, and public-facing projects. In this role, I support artists, guide projects from planning through installation, and help translate what happens in the gallery into clear, thoughtful public storytelling.

Previously, I worked with the American Alliance of Museums, Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, Georgetown University Art Galleries, and Sotheby’s Institute. Across these institutions, my work has lived in the space between curation, production, and communication.

With an MA in Art and Museum Studies from Georgetown University and a BA in Mass Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University, my background combines curatorial practice with marketing and content development. I think as much about audience and access as I do about form and concept. The goal is always the same: to build projects that feel considered, generous, and lasting beyond a single moment.
